Erik Stenbock, the heir to a medieval castle in Sweden, is unwillingly dragged into a search for the missing half of an ancient Egyptian stone tablet. The tablet is thought to be a possible key to the decipherment of Linear A, the script of a mysterious and astonishing bronze age civilization.
