Ray is unwillingly pulled into conversations with women in the office via his friend, Paul, who is outwardly flirtatious and at times obscene. Focused only on an upcoming promotion, Ray finds himself in a few innocent but awkward encounters with a new girl in accounting. She sees his actions in a different light and tells a coworker that come Monday, she will file sexual harassment charges against him. When Ray hears this he is panicked, realizing that no matter how innocuous his actions were, her misinterpretation of them could possibly ruin his career and marriage. Somehow, he must convince her that it was all a misunderstanding. But what if she won't listen to reason?
