Tameka, is the story of an orphan girl who accepts life as an outcast at home and at school till an accidental gift of male shoes triggers a gift she did not know she had.
The gift, which many would not accept as such because of it is a cast away from someone else, helps Tameka so much her attitude immediately changes. She finds herself with an attitude that empowers her to deal with abuse till she ssubdues it by her now found resilient spirit and empowering attitude.
Tameka's life changes and she manages to turns abuse into compassion and motivation through love.
This story of environmental abuse manifest as child abuse from care givers who do not know different is true to life.
I feel privileged to have written this book, because it tells the story of many children who cannot speak for themselves and don't know how they can be motivated not just to endure, but to keep hope alive no matter their circumstances.
While the period I used as the background of the story may have passed, the gist. off the story is still a reality some children will find resonating.
This work is fictional, but it draws from the experiences of real life stories.
