(Synopsis of Initiation of Children with Traditional Chinese Etiquettes, Music, Literature and Classics: Etiquettes: Chinese etiquette is rich in spiritual import, and involves both the "principle" and the "approach". The highest form of etiquette is patriotism. Therefore, when our home country is under invasion every cultivated Zhonghua descendent should put aside narrow self-interest and devote his or her own life to defending the country. He or she should constantly bear in mind what an ancestor has famously said: "Even the humblest man has a responsibility for the fate of the whole country". Such is the highest form of respect we can pay to her. Looking back, in 1900 the twenty thousand Eight-Power Allied Forces could lord it over millions of Chinese in Beijing; in 1931 only over a thousand Japanese invaders took possession of Shenyang in less than a day...The foreign forces prevailed not with their advanced weapons, but with the conviction that feudalist authoritarian ideology had smothered the self-respect and genuine emotions of the Chinese people, and undermined the solidarity of the nation...We should never allow this to happen again. We should communicate the Chinese etiquette with the generosity of a great country and with modern consciousness. Take action now and by educating our younger ones. "What is acquired as a child will become the child's second nature.")
