This book is really good. It may even come to be a standard reference text for undergraduate students who wish to fail their arts degree with flying colours. This is speculative fiction at its best; a family of cannibal clowns has a birthday party; the ghost of communism speaks to us from beyond the grave; and as far as retro Sci-Fi genres go, George Jetstone & his family of misfits takes us back to the ice-age, long before the steam engine began to replace horses, donkeys or pet mammoths...
