After the war, Fuchida was introduced to the gospel through the testimony of Jacob DeShazer. He began reading the Bible and eleven years after Pearl Harbor, he became a Christian. Fuchida spoke boldly of his conversion in his native Japan, and a few years later, he was recruited by Rev. Elmer Sachs to join Sky Pilots International.
