After her husband purchases a country house, a woman feels exiled and lonely. Briarwood is beautiful with its blooming gardens, but something ominous lurks there. By day she paints a sunken pool and a cherub while she waits for her husband's weekend visits. Her only companion is an elderly housekeeper until she discovers two children playing in the gazebo. But are any of them safe so long as the sinister groundskeeper lurks nearby? Will she find a way to save them—and herself—from the dark forces closing in?
