After a twenty-year absence the United Broadcasting System, in a nostalgic mood, has decided to revive its most popular game show, "The Murder Game." Steve's vivacious wife, Jayne Meadows, a member of the original celebrity panel, is invited to a reunion with other personalities of the original cast to solve imaginary homicides on prime time television in a battle of wits and lively banter. However, a series of very real murders quickly turns the once-lively banter into deadly threats and recriminations as, one by one, the stars of "The Murder Game" become victims of a killer.
