R.C. Bowman is a down and out private eye who once had a thing for a gorgeous nineteen year old redhead named Lori Lovecraft....but that was a long time ago. Then Lori turns up on the Empire Studio lot replacing the star of

"Cauldron of Chaos" who has died in a horrible accident on the set. Coincidence...R.C. doesn't believe in them...and despite the fact that his boss, ancient studio executive Mr. Benteen (and one of Lori's biggest fans ) warns him off, Bowman continues his investigation into the strange occurences that plague the film. Needless to say, he and Lori rekindle the flame along the way. Demons, tabloid reporters, casting agents...all the terrors of Hollywood are found in this one.
