Introduction
Puffins are adorable little creatures that sometimes remind people of penguins. Their coloring is a little similar to some sort of penguins, and they also live in cold regions, but that's where the similarities end.
They are big parts of the culture in places such as Iceland and the Faroe islands, and live in both the Atlantic Ocean area and the Pacific. Most people know very little about puffins, but they are fascinating creatures who have been the basis of survival for some and almost the symbol of their culture for others.
With their black and white bodies and their brilliantly colored beaks, puffins stand out among birds. They are not colorful like parrots or beautiful like swans, but the puffin has its own unique charms.
