'Prosperity Teaching' still has its teachers and its followers in numerous churches today. There is a massive gulf between such teaching and the words and actions of Jesus Christ. Nevertheless some who claim to follow Jesus actually teach that we should be materially rich. They teach that God wants us to be rich. In fact if we are not rich we are missing opportunities to serve God more fully.
