The articles which are encased in this e-book were specially selected from the many papers selected for the 4th Shanghai International Library Forum, whose theme this year was 'Intelligence, Innovation and Library Services'. Conferences such as this are building a strong reputation in the region building bridges between the strong library profession in China and that of the Western library literatures.
