本书由绪论、主体和结语三部分组成。 绪论部分首先概略地考察了语言中的范畴以及与量范畴有关的基本问题，接着对现有的量范畴研究情况作了较详尽的综述，指出了主要的不足和问题，然后交代了研究思路、方法和原则，说明了语料来源。主体部分共六章，前五章着眼于句法结构中的量，最后一章从变换（也可看作篇章）的角度看句法位置对量的表达的影响。 其中，第一章到第四章研究量类之间的转化，第五章讨论量值的变化，第六章则看表量形式在不同句法位置变换时表量情况的变化。 (The book includes introduction, main body and epilogue. The introduction part firstly briefly examines the category and some basic issues related to category of variables, and then makes a detailed literature review to the existing research condition of variables' category to point out the main deficiencies and problems, after which it narrates the research strategies, methods and principles and illustrates the sources of corpus. The main body part is composed of a total of six chapters. The first five chapters focus on variables in syntactic structure, and the last chapter probes into syntactic positions' influence on the expression from the perspective of transformation (also discourse).Among them, from the first chapter to the fourth chapter, it studies the transformation between the variables, the fifth chapter discusses the change of variables and the sixth chapter explores the change of the variables' form in different syntactic positions.)
