Volume 1 puts a special emphasis on a holistic combing, referencing the origin of criticism of Chinese opera as a unique way of receiving it and specific manifestations in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It probes the close relationship between the evolution of critical concepts in Chinese opera and philosophical concepts, and dissects the relationship between the intentions of critical concepts in classical Chinese opera and the movement of Chinese opera. Volume 2 puts a special emphasis on detailed study and explores and analyzes the cultural origins. It analyzes the awareness of ordinary people within the criticism of Chinese opera, demonstrating the critics' full understanding of Chinese opera's folk status. It is an understanding of the distinctive character and temperate and refined qualities of the language of classic Chinese opera criticism and Chinese opera criticism regarding the certainty of happy endings and the characteristics of quietly changing narrative concepts. It realizes ancient China's distinct pursuit in the study of poetry and its unique national mentality.
