This book first reviews the essential elements of the art of Chinese calligraphy and the origins of Chinese characters and calligraphy. It then explores the transformations of Chinese calligraphy and analyzes in details the cultural background, artistic features, and special techniques of grand masters by examining masterpieces in Jin Wen (Bronze Inscriptions), stone inscriptions, as well as brush-and-ink works.
