A woman with one withered arm and hand decides to become the mail order bride of a man in Texas. She is fairly ignorant about life there and on a ranch, but through trial and error she starts to learn. It's when an accident happens that her fiancé and his mother find out about her arm, which she's managed to keep hidden.
