本书内容简介: 晚清(1840—1911)可以被描述为一个"被全球化"的时代,由于资本主义扩张、帝国主义以及知识和实践的全球流通,中国被"抛入"世界之中并与异质文化频繁接触、对抗和互动。 此时国家/民族/个人身份都处在一个根本性的"再构"之中,而晚清的文化产品既是这种"再构"直接和有效的工具,又是其有机组成部分之一。 在晚清丰富庞杂的文化产品之中,包括报刊言论、西学译著、通俗文艺、翻译文学等等,存在着一个相当有趣的现象,那就是,无论被塑造为一种似是而非的"旧形象",还是一种边界未明的新形象,女性都成为一种引人注目的文化再构对象。 "女性传统"是内在于中国传统文化的一个不可忽视的部分。 儒家思想"家国同构"的逻辑十分重视对家内秩序/两性权力阶序的安排,因此对女性的文化设计与构想自有一套复杂而立体的系统。 正是这一"女性传统"在晚清遭遇西方文化冲击后的种种变化,造成了晚清光怪陆离的性别景观,同时也营造了此时中西文化商榷女性形象的广阔对话空间。 晚清的男性和女性,在如何参与这"女性传统"的变化并依据其进行道德、生活与文化的种种实践方面,共同构成了一个复杂而又生动有趣的"再构"故事。(Introduction: The late Qing Dynasty (1840-1911) can be described as an era of "being globalized", due to capitalist expansion and the global circulation of imperialism and knowledge and practice, China was "thrown into" the world and frequently contacted, confronted and interacted with different cultures.In this case, the national identity/ ethnic identity/ personal identity are in a fundamental "re-construction" status, while the cultural products of late Qing are both the direct and effective tools of this "reconstruction", and one of its integral parts.Among the rich, multifarious and disorderly cultural products of late Qing Dynasty, including the press statement, translations of Western learning, popular literature, translated literature, etc., there is a very interesting phenomenon, that is, women have become the compelling cultural reconstruction object whether they were portrayed as a paradoxical "traditional image" or a undefined new image. "Women tradition" is one part intrinsic to traditional Chinese culture that cannot be ignored. The idea that family and country have the same structure in Confucianism attaches great importance to the order within the family/arrangement of gender power hierarchy, therefore the cultural design and conception of women has a set of complex and three-dimensional system itself.It is the various changes emerging when this "women tradition" experienced western culture shock in the late Qing Dynasty that resulted in a bizarre sex landscape at that time, and meanwhile also created a vast dialogue space on women image for Chinese and Western cultures.The men and women in late Qing constitute together a complex and interesting "reconstruction" story, in terms of how to participate in the change of this "women tradition", and based on which they conduct various practices in morality, life and culture.)
