Ever since he started High School, Cédric Poitras has been in a lot of trouble. At the end of their tethers, his parents send him to British-Columbia, where his paternal grandfather owns a ski resort. There, his grandfather will give him difficult responsibilities. Unintendedly, Cédric will find interest in the work at the resort and will try to solve different curious problems.

À bout de nerfs, ses parents l'expédient chez son grand-père paternel, propriétaire d'un centre de ski en Colombie-Britannique, le mont Renard. Là, son aïeul ne lui épargne aucune tâche, en plus de l'obliger à passer ses soirées sur Internet pour obtenir son diplôme.

Bientôt, il s'intéresse, malgré lui, à la bonne marche de la station et aux mystérieux problèmes qui s'y manifestent depuis peu. Avec l'aide de ses amis, Chuyên, Tantine Jé, Stanislas et Blanche, la jolie monitrice, il aidera son grand-père à affronter la menace qui plane sur la montagne.
