We can only shed retrogressive culture and traditions, but we cannot just abandon them wholesale to our own determent. Who can change what we have perceived over the years, that which we have been taught as being immoral to become morally accepted? "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." Rom. 3: 10. Defilement as a cases study in immorality, present special challenges in many developing countries. In these countries, an upsurge in defilement cases is not only experienced, but many such cases are often compromised as soon as an accused persons is released on bail. This happens because the families of the accused person and the victim usually negotiate to settle the cases out of court, and often this is aggravated by the knowledge that justice systems are slow. This opens up the Pandora box concerning globalized justice against the backdrop of traditional justice systems. Globalization brings in a myriad of approaches that tribes may not find as acceptable and punitive enough. In traditional systems, victims are compensated according to traditionally set up standards where the victim's reward center in the brain is left satisfied. In the global system, the assailant is incarcerated once found guilty and is protected at the cost of the tax payer which may include the victim.
