This e-book of Foresight is devoted to research and analysis carried out around the European Foresight Monitoring Network (EFMN), a European Commission (EC) funded project that has been running since 2004. Established within the EC's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), the EFMN has been a central pillar of the EC's Science and Technology Foresight Knowledge Sharing Platform – a portfolio of actions and projects that have sought to provide decision-makers with future-oriented strategic intelligence and to promote knowledge-sharing and mutual learning between existing and would-be foresight practitioners and sponsors.
