For his own entertainment, a shepherd boy repeatedly lies about his sheep being attacked by wolfs and tricks the villagers to come to the rescue. However, when a real attack takes place, no one would believe in the boy's cry for help, causing the boy to lose all his sheep. This well-known Aesop's fable teaches children an important lesson about honesty.
