As a time traveler from the States pretending to be a Spanish officer, Guy King, aka Pedro Garcia, was given command of Spanish soldiers aboard an Armada vessel setting out to conquer the British heretics. Garcia, a former U.S. Marine, was better prepared than most to lead his men, particularly since he knew that disaster lay ahead. He struggled to return his men safely to Spain, and then returned to modern-day America with a motley crew of antique Spanish and British officers.
