He is best known for The Canterbury Tales. The Canterbury Tales are presented as part of a story-telling contest by a group of pilgrims as they travel together on a journey to the shine at Canterbury. Their tales widely reflect the society at that time. This keynote of this work is satire and these tales differ from each other in the content and the literary form and conform to every narrator's identification. The Canterbury Tales is a vivid portrait of English society in the 14th century and reflects anti-feudal tendency and humanistic thought. )
