Newpointe, Louisiana is just across Lake Pontchartraine from New Orleans. Although just a small town, it gets its share of petty crime spilling over from Mardi Gras. But on Fat Tuesday, when someone murders the wife of a Newpointe firefighter, everyone is shaken to the core. Then two more wives are murdered. Who is killing these kind, Christian women? Grimly, local police widen their search: everyone is under suspicion. As Pastor Nick tries to keep his congregation calm, many begin to ask, "How could God let these tragic deaths happen?"
