When midwife Lucy Stephens catches sight of Dr Marc Duvallier at an office party, she knows she won't be able to stay away – and she knows he feels the same.

However, Marc knows that when he becomes fully qualified he must return to his family home, to a desolate village in the French Alps, which he knows isn't right for Lucy.
