Jobelle is a newly made vampire of only seventeen.
In her world humans are slaves to vampires, who keep them as food for many years until they can no longer draw blood from them. Usually they live up to eighteen years.
Jobelle is tired of that life and when she smiles, remembering her liberating death is only a year away - others tell her Master that his slave "has been smiling". "She's up to something," they say.
He can't bear to lose her - so he turns Jobelle into a vampire, his progeny, his descendant.
However Jobelle hasn't given up yet.
She does the unthinkable: feeds and eats somebody else's human. Surely now they'd kill her!
And yet...
The book also has two other stories, previously released: "The Wolf's Victim" and "Wolf and Vampyr."
