Am 3. Juli 1875 fuhr Luise Büchner mit ihren Brüdern, Ludwig und Wilhelm sowie dessen Sohn Ernst nach Zürich, um an der Gedenkfeier ihres längst verstorbenen Bruders Georg an seiner neuen Grabstätte auf dem Zürichberg teilzunehmen. Die lange Eisenbahnfahrt von Darmstadt nach Zürich war für sie auch eine Reise in die Vergangenheit.
