中国传统领导理论仍有广泛的现实意义。现代领导者学习领导理论无非有三条途径：一是在战争中学习战争，在实践中摸索；二是学习现代西方的领导理论；三是学习中国传统领导理论。前两条途径无疑是重要的，但后一条途径具有更加容易接受和掌握的特点。因为古代领导理论虽然存在了二千多年，也有语言的障碍，但毕竟是同一民族的思想，有着鲜明强烈的民族风格和民族气派，同现代中国人属于同一种思维类型。学习和研究起来，更加容易理解和接受，更容易操作和实施，更易产生领导效果。现代领导者应该在眼睛向外，学习西方领导理论，勇于实践，善于总结领导实践经验的同时，认真学习中国人自己的领导理论，并在实践中使之发扬光大，让古老的理论焕发出新时代的光辉。(Chinese traditional leadership theory still has extensive practical significance.
