"Krik? Krak!" by Edwidge Danticat was first published in 1995. It is a collection of nine short stories and an epilogue written by Edwidge Danticat.

The stories present the Haitian community in which the people go through struggle for their survival. The stories in this book are tied together by the similar plots of struggle and survival. The contents are highly relevant to the situations prevailing in the contemporary Haitian community.

The stories are set in Port-au-prince, Haiti, Ville Rose, and New York. The female characters in the story continue to try to understand their relationships to their families and their ties to Haiti.

The Epilogue is titled 'Women like Us.' Through this title the author tries to imply that the women have a relationship with one another.
