This is a true story. It is an account of thejourney of three generations, from the darkdays of the Second World War, to thefreedom of peace time.Into the family history is woven the braveryof the soldier and the dilemma of theconscientious objector. The story thentravels to North Wales, to the formation ofthe 'Woodcutters'. It then follows the familydown to the artists' colony on the cliffs inCornwall. Then began the struggle torebuild life, relationships and meaning in aworld where all had been lost.Poems are interspersed throughout the text,to accentuate the content, and also to add atouch of philosophical contemplation.
