Introduction:Traditionally, the north part of China suffered from water shortage, while the south part floods. This long-bearing problem has been solved by the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. The Clear Rivers to the North is part of a series of books about 'the green China dream'. It presents the reason for the project and its implementation based on field interviews by the author, and reports on the pollution control of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. This book consists of 7 chapters in the chronicle order. Starting from the east and middle line, it tells about the unremitting efforts of Chinese government, and local people along the lines dealing with the water shortage in North China. It will do more harm than good when the economic development is based on the destruction of nature if we desire harmonious development between man and nature. This is not only the gist of 'the green China dream', but also the point this book wants to express to the world.
