Paula, the fresh faced social worker at the Manors Nursing home, is jilted when her Amish hunk, lover, marries his second cousin. More than a love story, MANORVILLE II explores the religious beliefs of its characters: such as the distraught Professor, who has lost his manuscript, RELIGION THE GREAT HOAX; the orderly who prays for the poor man's soul, and the assistant who the Amish have cast out for being gay. The story follows many of the characters found in the first MANORVILLE book — What happens to the survivors of the flood, like Lulu Belle, the world's oldest prostitute or Sadie who likes living with the Amish.
