قام بتأليف كتاب "جيش التحرير الشعبي الصيني" البروفيسور وانغ وي الأستاذ بمعهد قادة كتائب المشاة، ويتسم الكتاب بالسمات التوعوية، كما يتميز بنصوصه المفعمة بالحياة، ويشمل الكتاب على أكثر من 160 صورة تاريخية ثمينة، ويعمد الكتاب إلى سرد السلسلة التاريخية وواقع تطور جيش التحرير الشعبي الصيني، كما يظهر بوضوح "العنصر البشري" للجيش الصيني وأساليب التحديث والإصلاح العسكري الحديث. ويمكن القول بأن سلسلة كتب جيش التحرير الشعبي الصيني أحد المشروعات الرائدة التي يمكنها أن تمثل جيش التحرير الشعبي الصيني في عمليات الدعاية العسكرية الصينية.
