克服"单面人"生产和突破"块垒式"教学，探索宽基础、大口径、深层次培养通识通才的途径，是世界所有高校的重大难题，也是广东省建设文教大省不可回避的关隘之一。近几年我们以省重点扶持学科比较文学为依托，进行了集约性融通的尝试，一系列成果聚焦于"人文学中心建设—比较文化视野的文学通化研究"。2008年底，我们以此为题，获省"211工程"三期重点学科建设工程立项，一个融通人文学科的核心实践在广东外语外贸大学拉开序幕。

何谓人文学?从学科脉络上讲，她是研究文史哲互根的学问；从学术本质上看，她是求索中西学融会的艺术；从学理辐射而论，她是探讨教科文贯通的方略。我们将之作为文学化感通变的"核心加速器"，从"比较文化视野"多向度运作，以推动中外语言文学的通化性研究。这是我们创新团队数十年的精心设计，是我校长期师资建设和学术积累的集成绽放，是我校比较文学在本科、硕士、博士、博士后授权点配套后的新拓展，尤其是我校作为省属涉外型重点大学对"明德尚行，学贯中西"校训的认真践履。

"人文学中心"是广东省文科基地重点项目建设的一个工作站。本中心面向海内外招聘学术带头人和教研骨干，大力推动国内外同行间的多向交流。旨在打破近代以来人文领域分科治学人为分界的局限，同时坚守合理的规则，以具有长远规划、长期积累和趋向性影响的重大项目实施，带动人文主干学科多面建设。 (To overcome the "single-side" people and breakthrough "block type" teaching, explore the method of wide basis, large diameter and deep level to cultivate people with general knowledge is the major problem of all colleges in the world, and the inevitable pass of Guangdong Province, the great province of constructing culture and education. Recent years, we, with the basis of our province's key support discipline of comparative literature, try with the intensive attempt. A series of results are characterized by "the humanities center construction - comparative cultural view of literature general research". At the end of 2008, we made this as the title, and set up the project of "211 project" the third phase's key discipline construction engineering project. The core practice with humanities subject starts in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.

What is the humanities? From the subject context, it is the study of literature, history and philosophy; from the academic nature, it is the art of integrating Chinese and western culture; from the radiation of theory, it is the strategy of discussing education, science and culture. We take it as a "core accelerator" of literary sense, from "comparative cultural perspective" to multiple-angles cooperation, to promote the general study of Chinese and foreign language and literature. This is the elaborate design of our innovative team for decades, is our school's teachers construction and academic accumulation over a long period of integration, is the new development of our school's comparative literature in the undergraduate, master, doctor, postdoctoral authorized centers, especially the careful practice of school motto "pursuit of virtue and perfection, emulate actions and practices" as a major provincial university concerning foreign affairs.

"The humanities center" is a workstation of key projects of liberal arts base construction in Guangdong Province. The center calls for academic leaders and teaching staff at home and abroad, and vigorously promotes communication between members of multidirectional communication at home and abroad. It aims at breaking the limitation of humanities field's separate branch since modern times, and adheres to proper rules at the same time, in order to promote humanities main subject polyhedral construction by major project implementation with long-term planning, long-term accumulation and the impact with tendency.)
