Chiang Weishui, who established the Taiwanese Culture Association, was persistent in his reformation ideal. Not afraid of the suppression of Japan's colonial government, Chiang Weishui was a major player in Taiwan's New Culture Movement. He made speeches and published newspapers in hopes of raising national consciousness in Taiwan people. 蔣渭水創立台灣文化協會，不畏日本殖民統治者的打壓，堅持自己的改革理想，辦演講、辦報紙，希望激起台灣人的民族意識，是台灣新文化運動的主流人物。
