Tang Ping Ba Zhen of Hui people has two therapy systems: drug therapy and non-drug therapy. The drug therapy is to use drugs—oral drugs or external drugs—to treat diseases. There are many features about Hui medicine, one of which is the frequent use of fragrant drugs. Non-drug therapy include commonly seen massage, blood letting, gua sha, and also water therapy, oil therapy, fire therapy, Ta Guan, tea therapy, foods therapy which are all full of Hui characteristics. They are simple therapies and easy to learn, and have no side effects, therefore they can be used as home-based health care.
