27 Views of Greensboro: The Gate City in Prose & Poetry is an anthology of Greensboro writers writing about life in their city. This chorus of voices explores its complicated history, its contemporary challenges and richness, its grit, its joys, its tragedies. The variety of subjects and experiences told through a variety of genres (journalism, essays, short stories, poetry) create a sense of place, an identity that is particular to Greensboro. From the city's iconic Civil Rights struggle to the recent revitalization of downtown, the writers explore the Gate City through the lens of history, story-telling, and memoir.

With an introduction by novelist Marianne Gingher, 27 Views of Greensboro includes work by Michael Parker, Allen Johnson, Lorraine Ahearn, Tina Firesheets, Linda Beatrice Brown, Jeri Rowe, Logie Meachum, Val Nieman, Diya Abdo, Ann Deagon, Richard Zweigenhaft, John L. Robinson, Lee Zacharias, Drew Perry, Quinn Dalton, and many others.
