Jilly's grandmother Fergie owns the Suds Shop coin laundry in an abandoned strip mall on the wrong side of town. Jilly, a bonafide movie buff, is intrigued when the abandoned grocery store next to the Suds Shop is rented out for a week. Intrigue turns to amazement when it turns out that the folks from the popular Mystery Middle School movie series are shooting a few scenes for their new movie and need the space to audition extras for the movie! Jilly gets one of the first applications to be an extra and rushes in the next day to turn it in. However, it turns out the movie's star, none other than Jazz Johnson herself, is more interested in Fergie, Jilly's 300+ pound grandmother. Will Jilly be in the movie?
