After walking away from Detective Jake Griffin, Trudie ran away overseas and took a job as far from the bright lights of Hollywood as she could get. Now back in LA, Trudie plans to lie low and avoid any further entanglements with law enforcement. Unfortunately a night out supporting a friend acting in community theater, has Trudie finding the body of a famous Oscar winning director who has fallen far from the heady heights of Hollywood. With her friend becoming the prime suspect, Trudie's attempts to stay under the radar and away from Detective Griffin are destroyed before she's even started.
