Severe Dry patches in the Southwest are making the environment inhabitable. The Colorado Basin which provides water to almost 40 million people has finally run dry. The government sets up a perimeter across the entire southwest, exiling the region. Brooke and her family have to find away across and reach her sister in North Carolina.
