Air Asia Flight QZ8501 flying from Surabaya to Singapore, crashed tragically due to bad weather on 28th December 2014, bringing down with it 162 souls. Among the loss was 45 members of a single church in Surabaya called Sharon Mawar Church. This is the third tragic crash linked to Malaysia, as Air Asia Indonesia is owned by a Malaysian entrepreneur. Nine poems are written to comfort the mourning families. The last two chapters are directed to Sharon Mawar Church and to Christians.
