Magnolia has to endure domestic violence while living with her Dutch husband in a country where he was detached by the multinational he works for. The clash of two cultures 'sleeping on the same pillow' as the Dutch say is tragic. To protect her two sons she decides to look for sanctuary in The Netherlands, the country where her best friend Maniro also lives. The story includes links with music that are the background for the prologue and epilogue. The main musical background is a fusion of lounge with Andes music depicting how the world of the main character tumbles down in spite of all her efforts to save her marriage. Images of the beautiful nature of Ecuador are presented to the reader.
