Into the Fire is Edwards' third collection of poems. Written between 2009 and 2013, the poems depict a transformational period of her life. Recovering from the debilitating effects of years of chronic pain and grief, Edwards writes about a journey towards light and love. Into the Fire chronicles Edwards' re-entry into joyful living, as she puts her body, mind, and fundamental beliefs to the test by living and teaching English in Asia for eighteen months. The familiar themes of dreaming, time cycles, and the relationship between love and pain emerge and offer an alternative perspective for the reader.
