Equinox
Equinox is the solar phenomenon that occurs twice a year, on 20 March and 22 September. It is the autumnal equinox which colors and shades these 20 poems by Debra Milligan.
Day and night are believed to be of approximately equal duration but technically they are not exact. The duration depends upon where you are. This perspective highlights these poems about time: the transitions and interludes in our lives.
Sometimes the taste of autumn is sweet, sometimes bitter, sometimes bitter-sweet. These poems offer the many flavours of the autumnal equinox within experiences of grief, joy, forgiveness, parting, love, solitude, faith, betrayal, hope, reunion, and many other moments announced by the change of seasons from summer to fall.
