Kambar, the author of great Kambaramayanam has written Ramayana in about 10500 verses in sweet and tasteful Tamil. All know pretty well that it is not easy to continuously chant as prayer. As Valmiki has given a shortened version for Ramayana in Sanskrit, there is no shortened version in Tamil. To compensate this inadequacy, the author has given a version to be covered in forty five minutes in easy Tamil verses without losing its original flavor and in the same lines as Kambar. Along with is given THIRUMOZI NUTRU ANTHATHI Each THIRUMOZI has ten PATHIKAMS and their essence is given in the form of a VENBA making use of the words of the Alwar. (இராமகதையைக் கம்பர் கிட்டத்தட்ட 10500 தீந்தமிழ்க் கவிகளில் வடித்துள்ளார். இக்கவிகள் அனைத்தையும் தொடர்ச்சியாகப் பாராயணம் செய்வது எளிதன்று என்பது அனைவரும் அறிந்ததே. வடமொழி இராமாயணத்துக்கு வான்மீகரே சுருக்கம் அருளியிருப்பது போன்று தமிழில் எதுவும் இல்லை. இக்குறையை இயன்றவரை போக்கும் முயற்சியாகவே கதைப்போக்கை கம்பர் காட்டிய வழியில் அமைத்து, நிகழ்ச்சிகளைக் கூடியவரை விடாமல் சுமார் முக்கால் மணி நேர அளவில் இராமகதை முழுவதையும் பாராயண முறையில் ஓதுவதற்கு வாய்ப்பாக எளிய தாழிசையில் இந்நூலை உருவாக்கியிருக்கிறார் ஆசிரியர். இத்துடன் திருமொழி நூற்றந்தாதியும் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. பதிகமெனும் திருமொழி ஒவ்வொன்றிற்கும் அமைந்துள்ள பத்து பாசுரங்களின் சாராம்சத்தைக் கருப்பஞ்சாறு பிழிந்து கொடுப்பது போலப் பெரும்பாலும் ஆழ்வாரின் சொற்களையே உயிர்நாடியாகக் கொண்டு ஒவ்வொரு பத்துக்கும் ஒரு வெண்பாவாக இந்தத் திருமொழி நூற்றந்தாதி இயற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது.)
