This thematic issue shows a nine-paper selection in the frontier of Chinese business research. Among them, four papers relate to corporate social responsibilities (CSR), discussing topics such as cross-culture CSR, CSR and the firm's performance, CSR in Chinese family business, and corporate social performance and financial performance in Taiwan. Three papers investigate sustainability, with one aiming at business operation of the high-speed railway industry, and the other two explore corporate sustainability apart from a firms' financial capability and governance. Two papers examine ethical issue covering leadership ethics and business ethics, respectively. All the papers well reflect the current advances being studied in China.
