王船山即王夫之(1619年-1692年)湖南衡阳人。我国明清之际杰出的哲学家、思想家、经学家、史论家和诗人，更是一位卓越的易学家。因在石船山下筑草堂而居，人称"湘西草堂"。他刻苦研(易)，勤恳著述，撰著(周易内传)等六部易学专著及多部学术著作。其易学思想综罗往古，吞吐百家，既通象数，尤精义理。创建了别开生面的易学思想体系。(Wang Chuanshan (1619-1692), also named Wang Fuzhi, was a native of Hengyang, Hunan Province. He was not only an outstanding philosopher, thinker, Confucian scholar, historical critic and poet, but also a distinguished scholar in Yi-ology in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. The place he lived was called "Xiangxi Caotang", for he once built and lived in a thatched cottage at the foot of Mountain Shichuan. He was assiduous in the research of Yi-ology and took pains to write works, including six classical monographs of Yi-ology, such as Zhouyi Neizhuan, and several other academic works. His thoughts on Yi-ology absorbed ideas of many generations and learned from different schools. He was skilled in image-numerology, especially in argumentation. Finally, he set up a spectacular ideological system of Yi-ology. )
