老子，是我国古代著名思想家、哲学家，道家学派创始人，世界文化名人。老子道德经幢矗立在河北省易县城内龙兴观遗址旁，建于唐开元年间，距今已有1273年历史。经幢镌刻着《老子道德经》81章。由唐玄宗李隆基亲自注释，甚为珍贵，故又称御注老子道德经幢。文字由唐著名书法家苏灵芝书，成为珍贵中的极品。本书是贾延清、李金泉等积数年之力，将碑文整理，保持了碑文原貌，尤其是还原了唐明皇所作注解的原貌，并加上白话文注解，加以解释，有一定的文化价值。(Lao Zi, a world-renowned literary figure, is a prestigious thinker, philosopher and the founder of Taoism in ancient China. His masterpiece, Tao Te King, has been engraved into a pillar column in the historical site of Longxing Taoist Temple in Yi County, Hebei Province, ever since its establishment in Kaiyuan period of Tang Dynasty, 1273 years ago. That column, engraved with 81 chapters of Tao Te King by Lao Zi, is particularly precious since those chapters were annotated by Emperor Xuanzong himself; therefore, it is also known as the Column of Tao Te King with Royal Annotations. Scripts of this column are written by Su Lingzhi, a famous calligrapher in Tang Dynasty and thus have become a rarity. This book is born of years of cooperation between Jia Yanqing and Li jinquan, etc. who have reorganized the scripts and maintained the original form of the scripts, that of Emperor Xuanzong's annotations in particular. Besides, notes in modern Chinese are added to explain the original annotations which give this book certain cultural value. )
