As British war hero Hugo Drax concludes construction of his state-of-the-art nuclear missile, the Moonraker, British secret agent James Bond is sent to protect the final test of the rocket against terrorist attack. But all may not be what it seems in a facility staffed exclusively by post-war German scientists, and Bond must once again put his life on the line as he races to protect the world from Drax's heinous double-cross.

Moonraker is the third book in the James Bond spy series. It was adapted for radio and provided the title for the eleventh James Bond movie, starring Roger Moore in the lead role.
