Part One reflects on the essential elements of these poetic prayers: the personalities which are revealed in them, the attitudes which they express and the symbols which they use for God. It then concludes with three short chapters which insert the psalms into the mystery of the Trinity itself. Part Two offers a selection of psalm verses, and reflections on them, which can be used for a personal retreat.
